Scholarships

The College of Engineering has the following scholarships available to eligible Temple University students enrolled in an undergraduate engineering major. All scholarship applications are due April 2, 2013. To apply for any of these scholarships, you should download and submit the scholarship application linked here: 2013 Scholarship Application

The Hunter Roberts Construction Group Scholarship

  • Awarded to one undergraduate Civil Engineering student
  • Preference given to students focusing in Construction Management
  • Must have recommendation from a faculty member in the CEE Department
  • Based on merit and financial need

Robert J. Stone Memorial Scholarship Fund

  • Awarded to one undergraduate Civil Engineering student
  • Must have a recommendation from the CEE Department
  • Must have approval of the Chairperson of the CEE Department
  • Based on merit and financial need

Bill and Dianne Mensch Endowed Scholarship

  • Awarded to on undergraduate student in Computer or Electrical Engineering
  • Based on merit and financial need
  • Must have a recommendation from a faculty member in the ECE Department
  • Must have approval of the Chairperson of the ECE Department

Jaqua Foundation Endowed Scholarship

  • Awarded to 1-2 undergraduate students from New Jersey in any major
  • Based on merit and financial need
  • Must have approval of the Director of Undergraduate Studies

Verage and Seda Tarzian Scholarship

  • Awarded to 1 junior or senior Electrical Engineering student
  • Based on financial need
  • Must have recommendation from Electrical Engineering faculty member
  • Recipient must be U.S. Citizen

Victor K. Schutz Scholarship

  • Awarded to 1 student pursuing an undergraduate degree in ECE
  • Based on financial need and merit

Alvin Greenspan Endowed Scholarship Fund

  • Awarded to 1-2 students in any department
  • Based on financial need and academic achievement
  • Scholarship may be applied to tuition or engineering text books
  • Recommendation from a faculty member recommended

Onesky Engineering, Inc. Scholarship

  • Awarded to 1 junior or senior Civil or Environmental Engineering major
  • Based on financial need and academic excellence
  • Strong preference given to students with an interest in alternative energy and energy efficiency
  • Must have recommendation from faculty member in CEE department

The George and Iris Cavallo Scholarship

  • Awarded to one undergraduate student majoring in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Based on financial need
  • Must have recommendation from the CEE Department

Gilbane Building Scholarship

  • Awarded to one undergraduate student enrolled in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Dept.
  • Student must have completed coursework in Construction Management or Construction Technology
  • Based on financial need
  • Must have recommendation from the CEE Department

Alvin T. Greenspan Scholars

  • Awarded to one incoming freshman
  • Must be enrolled in the engineering program
  • Based on merit and financial need
  • Must have recommendation from high school science or math teacher

The Timothy Reese Engineering and Entrepreneurial Scholarship Fund

  • Awarded to one undergraduate student in any department
  • Preference given to students who have demonstrated the ability and desire to be an entrepreneur
  • Must have recommendation from College of Engineering faculty member

The Robert H. Creamer Scholarship Fund

  • Awarded to a rising senior, majoring in mechanical engineering
  • Preference given to students demonstrating academic knowledge, interpersonal skills and potential to excel in the field of mechanical engineering
  • Must have recommendation from a faculty member in the Mechanical Engineering Dept.

The Keya and Ramineh Sadeghipour Scholarship Fund

  • Awarded to a rising senior in any department
  • Preference given to students with proven academic merit
  • Must have recommendation from College of Engineering faculty member

The Raymond Fidler Scholarship Fund

  • Awarded to one undergraduate student
  • Must have recommendation from College of Engineering faculty member

Temple University FIRST Scholarship

  • In partnership with FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), Temple University will award up to four $2500 per year merit scholarships, renewable annually for a total of four years and contingent upon maintaining a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA, to students enrolled in full time study in a College of Engineering major. High school juniors and seniors may apply.
