Current Students

Rabe’e Cheheltani
Rabe’e Cheheltani is a doctoral candidate in biofluidics laboratory. She was educated in Iran, receiving a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tehran and an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology. Rabe’e is an American Heart Association predoctoral fellow and is currently working on developing a novel technique for targeted delivery of proangiogenic compounds to heart tissue to prevent cardiac remodeling after myocardial infarction.

Giuseppina Lamberti
Giuseppina Lamberti is a doctoral candidate in biofluidics laboratory. She was educated in Italy, receiving a B.S. and a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Naples `Federico II`. Giuseppina is a Research Assistant and is currently working on Identification of Novel Cell Surface Markers Specific for Radiation Damage.

Samantha Schoell
Samantha Schoell is a junior mechanical engineering student at Temple University’s College of Engineering. She is currently researching some of the recent advances on Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) Spectroscopy in areas related to cardiovascular tissues as an undergraduate research assistant for the summer of 2010.

Tanya Singh
Tanya Singh is a senior in the mechanical engineering program at Temple University. Her research interest is in cell and tissue engineering. She is currently developing drug delivery system using antibodies conjugated liposomes in a parallel flow chamber. This drug delivery system will be used later in the treatments for heart attack and cancer.
