from Dr. Keya Sadeghipour, Dean
Your son or daughter’s education is important to you, and I am sure you will be following their progress. Recent research indicates parents are the number ONE influencer in the success of the education of their children.
You will be a part of the journey as your student begins a new path which you will remember in the future as “My child’s college years.” It will be a new experience for both you and your student. Parents often find their ability to be involved with their children is different in college than it was in high school – the most dramatic difference is that access to information about your student in college may not be as readily available as it was during their high school years. This has left many parents feeling isolated from their children’s college lives and therefore concerned about how they can help and support their children. I hope this web site will help increase your knowledge and confidence about your student’s new chapter at the College of Engineering and at Temple University.
We want to:
Your student trusts you and comes to you for advice. You can effectively assist them and remain engaged in their lives by properly directing them to the appropriate resources here at Temple University. I hope you find the information presented here useful and hope it can help you continue to be part of the education of your sons and daughters.
Sincerely,
Keya Sadeghipour, Ph.D.
Dean, College of Engineering
