Multiple Faculty Positions in the Mechanical Engineering Department

Temple University’s College of Engineering is experiencing a rapid expansion in its research and education endeavors.  In striving for further growth and continued excellence, the Department of Mechanical Engineering has an opening for several tenured or tenure-track faculty position at the ranks of full, associate, or assistant (minimum 2-3 years postdoctoral experience) professor with the expected start date of Fall 2013. Each successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or a closely related field; each candidate must be able to develop a significant research program and provide effective instruction at undergraduate and graduate levels in mechanical engineering.
Applicants with expertise relevant to energy technologies including, but not limited to, advanced materials processing and characterization, renewable energy, advanced energy conversion and storage, energy efficiency, control systems, and transport phenomena, are especially encouraged to apply. Senior appointments will be considered for applicants with demonstrated scholarship, including a strong record of securing and conducting externally funded research. Salaries are competitive and significant resources have been allocated for start-up.

Research and Teaching Assistantships

Multiple Research and Teaching Assistantship positions are available for graduate students in the general areas of mechanical engineering and bioengineering. The assistantships include tuition remission, health insurance, and a monthly stipend.
