Chair Statement

We are pleased that you are visiting us electronically and hope that you will visit us personally in the near future. The mission of the Engineering Technology Program is to provide an excellent educational experience for its students. This experience includes an emphasis on the technical, communication, teamwork and life-long learning skills that graduate engineering technologists need to succeed, in both the workplace and society in general. The engineering technology program emphasizes traditional engineering technology courses as well as business, computer, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering courses. The program emphasizes hands-on learning with numerous laboratory classes and projects. The program also places a strong emphasis on student projects, culminating in the senior design project. The engineering technology students may also elect to participate in a paid industrial co-op/internship program.
