Dr. Omar Z. Fisher received his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University in 2003 and his Ph.D also in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas, Austin in 2008. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Langer Laboratory at the David H. Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Fisher was the recipient of a NSF-IGERT Graduate Traineeship and a UT-Austin Cockrell School of Engineering Graduate Fellowship, UNCF-Merck Postdoctoral Fellowship and the Ford Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship. His research at Temple University will focus on the design of hydrogels and polymeric nano materials for biomedical applications.
